Company History
Joe W. Fly, Sr. Joe Sr. started working out of his home and garage until he accidentally cut his wife Margaret’s favorite Oriental carpet while cutting filter media. After this incident, Margaret kindly asked him to move his business elsewhere, and by the 1970s, he moved into the company’s first warehouse in Dallas. After working in the family business through high school and college, Joe W. Fly Jr. (Wayne), graduated from The University of Texas at Austin and helped to run the Austin warehouse. Since then, the company has grown to include 15 warehouses across Texas and beyond, and is now in its third generation of family ownership, with Joe W. Fly III (Trey) serving as company president.
